State Championship - 4th Place Justin Wright

Justin Wright is a regular on the NWA Razoryak Tournament trail and has enjoyed some success during his first season with the RTT. He is the uncle of one of our top jr anglers, Baron Meek, and has been a huge supporter by bringing him to the majority of our events. I actually ran into Justin on the water during the championship, he was worried his limit would not hold up, so I was excited to announce his name in the top five as a payoff for grinding it out on a tough day!

4th Place Finisher - Justin Wright
Thank you for everyone's hard work to put on such a great tournament series this season and a great state championship, and thank you sponsors for all the great prizes this year! We had a great time fishing lake Atkins mostly because of all the great people we have met all year and some of the new anglers we met from around the state. It was nice to be able to pre-fish the day before tournament, it took me until two o'clock Saturday to catch a fish, they started hitting black/blue jigs and a june bug colored worm on a shaky head. Caught a limit in a few hours with the largest fish being between 14"-15".

Weather was much different Sunday morning so didn't try any top-water or fast moving baits. I just decided to stick with the worm and worked a short stretch of bank that seemed to be holding fish around submerged stumps. Ended the day with 7 keepers but just couldn't come up with the few kicker fish I was looking for. Thanks again everyone and can't wait for next season!
